Annie Murphy Paul is a science writer who contributes to The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other publications. She is the author of the forthcoming book Brilliant: The Science of How We Get Smarter, to be published by Crown in 2014, as well asOrigins and The Cult of Personality.

She is a graduate of Yale University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
